Our mission
tabo mabo wants to create an inclusive and circular waste management system that creates prosperity for all network members and their immediate communities in Nairobi
The project aims at establishing a formal network of practitioners that strengthens their existing businesses as well as investing in the expansion of waste infrastructure, especially by setting up household collection, a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and a waste bank. Benefits of the network include a scaling, professionalization, and increased system-efficiency of business operations. Additionally, it offers support to the most marginalized stakeholders in the IPRE (e.g. waste pickers on the dumpsite).
